DIRECTOR'S NOTE

The name Mnema is an abbreviation of Mnemosyne, the goddess of Greek mythology who personifies memory and is the mother of the nine Muses, the deities who governed the arts and sciences. Mnemosyne was intrinsically linked to inspiration, creativity and, above all, the preservation of memory through art. Little is said or known about the history of video games in Portugal. Much less about how women have always been voracious players and, sometimes, creators of these games. As in other parts of the world, video games have always been associated above all with a white, male environment with no room for other worldviews. However, resistance always exists, even when you don't hear about it.
