DIRECTOR'S NOTE
These days we hear again about the need to erect walls between human beings and nations, and the resurgence of this divisive rhetoric leads us to explore the idea of the labyrinth and the minotaur in this film – how can this myth help us to think about the strangeness of our current times? Unlike the original myth in which the labyrinth imprisons and suppresses the power of the minotaur, in this film it is the minotaur who dominates the labyrinth, which presents itself as a colossal metropolis that imprisons its inhabitants. What will life be like inside such a labyrinth?
